NEC results, 2020

This page shows the results of the elections to Labour's National Executive Committee. Data is via the Labour website and Charlie Mansell on Twitter.

Constituency reps (9)

There are 9 constituency party representatives on the NEC, who are now elected using the Single Transferable Vote. Candidates who won are indicated in bold. The table shows the first preference votes recieved by each candidate.

   

Many candidates were endorsed by a faction within the Labour Party. The faction that endorsed the candidate is indicated in the table.

The table below shows the total number of votes recieved by each faction (as well as independents):



NEC Youth Rep (1)

There is 1 Youth representative on the NEC, who is elected using first-past-the-post by voters in an Electoral College. Young members make up 50% of the electoral college, whilst trade unions make up the other 50%.

 NEC Disabled Members Rep (1)

There is 1 Disabled Members representative on the NEC, who is elected using first-past-the-post by voters in an Electoral College. Self-identified disabled members make up 50% of the electoral college, whilst trade unions make up the other 50%. 

NEC Welsh Rep (1) 

There is 1 Welsh rep on the NEC, who is elected using first-past-the-post in a one-member-one-vote ballot of members and affiliates.



NEC Local Government Reps (2)

There are 2 local government representatives on the NEC, who are elected using first-past-the-post by Labour councillors, Mayors and Police & Crime Commissioners.



Treasurer (1)

Labour members and affiliates will also be electing the NEC's Treasurer in these elections. The Treasurer is elected using first-past-the-post by voters in an Electoral College. Labour members make up 50% of the electoral college, whilst affiliates make up the other 50%. Candidates needed nominations from at least 1 constituency Labour party or 1 affiliate to appear on the ballot.
