The tables below show the results of elections to the Australian House of Representatives between 1890 and 1943.
Between 1890 and 1917, Australia elected its MPs in single-member districts using First-Past-The-Post. Since 1919 election, Australian MPs have been elected in single-member districts using the Alternative Vote (AV), also known as instant-runoff voting (IRV) or ranked-choice voting (RCV).
Vote totals from 1919 onwards reflect first preference votes for each party.
